I am currently on my second year in college and Introduction to Applied Linguistics, and Structure of the English Language are two of my major subjects and to be honest I have trouble with them. So any ideas or help about those? Thank you :):aureola:

My bit of recommendation: Do not con-fuse general semantics with semiology. The latter is an overcome structuralist theory. Read carefully Alfred Korsybski's Science and Sanity to grasp the former. There is, of course, structure in the English language, but it is not of great consequence. There is structure in any language. What does that mean?
