Super Market tabloid covers could never bare
Essence of my dame's, callous grace, so de rigueure
As diligent cashier, price checked qualities, my value to compare
You took stock, then left your doting suitor only a trite share
I cashed out all the insignificant baggage you bade me pare
But you only left me a blank check, and an indebted heart to bear
Your dedicated stock boy tendered only the finest wares
But you flippantly post-marked each, return, my truant bill to flare
Stacked my Deli case with fleshy cuts lean and rare
Your dark, glassy eyes refracted a shrill, piercing glare
Each, bulging shelf, I garnished with the greatest care
But your refined, decadent desire could not coyly ensnare
As gourmet baker, for your palate prepared sweet, sumptuous fair
But my decorous, rich platter did not with your delicate buds pair

''As gourmet baker, for your palate prepared sweet, sumptuous faire
But my decorous, rich platter did not with your delicate buds pair''

very nice lines !!! I like all the lines actually :)

I also like the fact that you use French as well as English to write that is something I do too ;)

Thanks cacian! I think that a poem rife with metaphors is delicious!
