Write your words, sing your songs,
get up early and worship the dawn and the birds.
Be the best you can, pull your cum face,
swim with dolphins, love someone.
Bunjee jump off some fvcking rock.
Rob a bank, plant pyrakantha, read,
be convinced you are expanding,
improving, being a good sibling, son, daughter, in law, friend, lover.
Save somebody. Feel good in the morning sun,
with the dawn and the birds and your buttered toast.
Live new cultures. Speak new languages. Sacre bleu.
Smoke a cigar, drink a malt, catch a sexual disease,
leave somebody you love, find God, inject, bully, hate,
drink hot water, drown, be the best you can.
Or stay in bed and shout "fvck it" loud.
Drop out or in, or in between.
Send me an e mail, drop me a line,
write your words, sing your songs.
Cut your self to strips, strip for strangers, die young and pretty
or old, drooling lunch on your chin.
Find a way, to blank your thoughts,
and make it through your day.

Delightful, like a shower of ash on a shiny new holiday home. ;) I can hear Iggy Pop or Lou Reed in the background.

I guess that comma is intentional after 'way' in the last two lines, but it still bugs me.

'cut your self to strips, strip for strangers', priceless.

Adding more to this comment on a later read, I really appreciate how you link ideas together, like 'drink hot water' and 'drown'.As always, appreciate the colour and the bitterness. Harsh, cutting and real.

What makesyou think that this mixture of positive and negative behaviors would be effective and why, how, in what and where?

That all sounds far too much like hard work to me. Talk about keeping busy! Your itinerary is exhausting. :D

It's impossible to read this without thinking of Larkin's poem of the same name, of course, with its famous image of 'the priest and the doctor | in their long coats | running over the fields'.

It also reminds me of Radiohead's 'fitter happier' from OK Computer.

But the list of imperatives gives an evocative sense of the narrator's existential desperation.

(And sp. 'pyracantha'.)

What a bucket list! The movie did fit some of these activities into their to do list. I think you recommend treasuring the small, insignificant joys, and taking on the larger challenges. I concur that this is a recipe for fulfillment.
