My name is Brian Mendenhall, I am 14 years of age (turning 15 in December) and I joined this forum to share my love of literature with people. My favorite author is a small time author named Darren Shan. He wrote the twelve book series of Cirque Du Freak. I read the first book, and ended up buying every single book the next day, and read the entire series in two weeks. They were fairly decent sized books, about 250-300 pages each. Not huge, but extremely captivating. I write poetry, and sometimes short stories, but I seem to like conveying messages through poetry better.
I am currently reading The Stand by Stephen King. I am a new reader of King, but I have been on the edge of my seat through the 300 pages I've read out of the book. I am entering High School in two and a half months, in hope of following my dream of being an Astro-Physicist, or a game designer, I am taking classes to pursue either one. I guess I am a bit of a young pup, but I have been told by many teachers that I can write like a college student if I put my mind to it :blush5: I hope to better myself in writing, and simply as a person by joining this site.
