Esoteric? Was not the middle ages a fertile ground for the development of mysticism, confined to the elite few? which gave birth to some esoteric beliefs and knowledge. If that is really the case then the owners must have surely created this site with that aspect of medieval era in their mind.

My point is that forums are more successful when they focus on a broad subject (such as literature, or music, or gaming) that people from all knowledge and interest fields can join in on, and create subforums designated to the Middle Ages. But hey, that's just my opinion.

I wish Vali all the best but Charles Darnay is right. Middle ages is a very large topic to discuss but at the same time not broad enough.

I've search for forums of medieval style and is a little hard to find them. At least for me.
I pretend to do a forum a little bit less intellectual, whit many types of people, but whit deep conversation too.

I don't think that is esoteric, it can be, but the objective is to promote the debates whit many opinions.
Some people say that is a political forum, or simple a fashion, it can be, or not, the question is that everybody can participate for many different reasons. At the same time is a corner a little bit restricted and calm.

Other objective is to create a forum of its beginning, for example you can do a selection of the most interesting topics form here.
