The mineral smell of asphalt
After a lukewarm spring shower,
Polite claps and a male voice
Talking on a mic about fifteen and love
While downstairs, a tow truck
Loads an Audi limousine.
A tanned young man is mowing
The Russian millionaire’s lawn
Across the street, and a fly
buzzes idly in through my open window.

I liked this little poem. It imparts a sense of tranquility in limiting to description. A genuine observer.

Thanks, cafolini. More of a "rememberer", though, than an observer, alas. Spring's all but lukewarm this year, and the heavy downpours can't be called "showers" either. :-)
