yes it may only just be read alot because of schools but does any other plays touch you like romeo and juliet did? Doesnt it get you angry because you cant help them?

Everyone has their own interests. Some may think that Romeo and Juliet is not the best play written By Shakespeare but some do. Especially people who enjoy star-crossed love affairs and tragedies.

Sorry Amanda, but this is definately not Shakespeare's greatest play. It doesn't even come close to being one of the better ones. People think it must be the best because it is the most widely read. The only reason it's the most read however, is because it is the most basic and read in high schools. This makes it the only one several people read and so they consider it the best. If anyone were to read a play like King Lear, Hamlet, Othello or The Merchant of Venice, they would see that Romeo and Juliet comes nowhere near close. It's just that way.
