found a book called mother by kathleen norris

Hi,
My name is 46booklover and I happened to like books. I especially like old books and I had found 2 books by the author of Kathleen Norris. The first is called Mother by her and its a hardback and its a first edition. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who can tell me if this book is worth something. I also got another book by her and its called The Venables and its also a hardcover and a first edition. I like to collect old books but I am somewhat a amateur at collecting and finding out the value of the books. I would appreciate any feedback by anyone.
