Arms surround my body,
gripping, clenching, bone.
High cry in morning,
I thought I lied alone.

Eyes begin to bleed
grinning jackal laughs.
The clock strikes never,
always comes too fast.

Side by side we die
with each mossy breath.
Laughing at what is,
anybody's guess.

Slice in to the sun
molten gold will flow.
Eat up every ray,
no one else can know.

I have lost the light,
deep retinal burn.
Bother not, gruesome
piles of no concern.

Mewling mess of moths
as drawn from the mouth.
Soul screams in silence,
now there's no one else.

cool piece the first stanza is very poignant it made me want to read the whole. a well written piece with a lots of meanings. :)
The title caught my eye especially the word Berserkers. I take it it is from the word Berserk which maddening crazy.
can I ask why Bob Marley Berserker?

I wish I knew more about your subject's music so that I could better appreciate your encomium to the band and its leader. You might want to check a couple of errors: "anybody's (not anybodies) guess" and "sole screams" Do you mean "solo" or "soul?" If you mean "sole," do you mean the bottom of a shoe or the fish?"

I gave up a pack-a-day habit on Saturday and I felt like I was losing my mind when I wrote this.

It's not a tribute to Bob, and really doesn't have much to do with him. It's about what he symbolizes and that culture. Marijuana.
