What makes one person fall for another at a glance
like a tree crashing in the forest with no choice
but to fall? Is it fate? Is it karma? What is it
about love that neither science nor religion nor philosophy
can answer? Is it a mystery that will never be solved?
A woman of seventy-five can fall madly in love
as much as a woman of twenty-five. Love knows
no boundaries nor time constraints nor difference in age.
Love, next to imagination, is the strongest force
in the universe. Far be it from me to hazard a guess
why this is so. I just accept it as a peculiarity of life.
