Hello, all,

I've not been around much lately - my free time has been swallowed by a combination of family circumstances, the demands of the dayjob and this...

The Penny Falls is now available as an e-book on Amazon (both .com and .co.uk), with other formats coming soon.

Amazon Com http://tinyurl.com/bqqe6k8

Feel free to take a look. And if you read it, please review it, whatever you think of it.

Hope it intrigues you....

Scheh: could be a few weeks. I think you can get a quasiKindle reader app for most tablets.

Thank you, Gilliatt. Please review it on Amazon, whether you like it or not.

The reviews have started coming in, and I'm pretty pleased, to be honest.

Take a look... http://www.amazon.com/The-Penny-Falls-ebook/dp/B00CG6QYII/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1366950973&sr=8-1&keywords=mark+bastable

From amazon.com

"Bastable is hard to categorize. His writing reveals glimpses of the somewhat skewed imagination of John Irving, an ear for the crafted language of Martin Amis, along with a willingness to go to uncomfortable places with both the humor and the candor of Philip Roth....(He) manages to be funny without being comic, and emotionally moving without becoming sentimental. It's a potent and engaging combination."

"...reminds me of Jonathan Franzen at his best...Bastable earns the reader's trust early on, then delivers with a flurry of intense final scenes that kept me up well past my bedtime. And that's as good a measure of a novel as any..."

"This is one of the best novels I have ever read. It kept my interest at every turn and on every page. The language is evocative, the characters are memorable, and the plot intriguing. I highly recommend this book."

From amazon.co.uk

"The Penny Falls reminded me of the best bits of The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde... If you are intrigued by the first few pages, read on: The Penny Falls will not disappoint."

"Bastable is a keen observer of human nature and a master of the well-turned analogy. His prose is a pleasure to read...this is a powerful and thought-provoking novel with an imaginative plot and characters that make you care about their well being. Read it, you won't regret it."

Great reviews!
