Aphorism #38 Leave your Luck while Winning.

All the best players do it. A fine retreat is as good as a gallant attack. Bring your exploits under cover when there are enough, or even when there are many of them. Luck long lasting was ever suspicious; interrupted seems safer, and is even sweeter to the taste for a little infusion of bitter-sweet. The higher the heap of luck, the greater the risk of a slip, and down comes all. Fortune pays you sometimes for the intensity of her favours by the shortness of their duration. She soon tires of carrying any one long on her shoulders.http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/ArtOfWorldlyWisdom?d=yIl2AUoC8zA (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/ArtOfWorldlyWisdom?a=B9jfnvf7f1c:Q3fuO0gdb-4:yIl2AUoC8zA) http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/ArtOfWorldlyWisdom?d=qj6IDK7rITs (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/ArtOfWorldlyWisdom?a=B9jfnvf7f1c:Q3fuO0gdb-4:qj6IDK7rITs)

The gambling houses claim that 7% of what may befall a table must be theirs on a daily average. I would be happy to leave a table after getting 7% of the 7%. If you are a gambler like I am, the meaning of what Balthasar is saying is very clear. The house should never have a chance to figure that out, or you shall be persecuted. Leave with your winning insignificant except for you. 7% of 7% of the day, on a one or two hour strike is considerable. Go away earlier if bad luck shows up. Balthasar also recommends that in one other very clear statement posted earlier.
