what would you say is the medium to thinking?
We all use our own personal techniques but we all have I guess one medium the happy one that makes us all one and only.
We are all very different, vive la difference, but we are all one and only because of the unique link the medium to the way we formulate thought that must be the same.
Is it the way we formulate speech listen or learn?
Or is it perhaps the human intelligence that is different from any other form of intelligence not the artificial of course. :)

One physical medium or filter for our thoughts would be our brains, but I also assume there is a field of consciousness that we all share that is the major medium for our thoughts. This is how we get thoughts we don't seem to have originated by our own choice and why we think alike and can communicate with each other. I don't know much about it.

This view puts our consciousness outside our brains rather than constructed by our brains.

When George Boole developed his pieces that led to symbolic logic, the computer, artifical intelligence, etc. and etc., he called An Investigation into the Laws of Thought. Make no mistake. It wasn't just a side issue for con-sideration.

Interesting post YesNo. I was thinking consciousness is linked to language hearing and sound. Without language how would one know one's feelings and occurences. It is difficult to tell because humans are meant to use language to communicate.
Could that be one medium of thoughts?
The other thing is of course the brain as you mentioned which is only functional when introduced to signals of language and sound.
The five senses come to mind.
What about the sixth sense could that be another medium?

Symbolic logic as oppose to logic pure and simple?
A computer investigate language through memory and we investigate language through sound.
The law of thought is more complex and requires logiciel granted the computer is equipped with the sensories of languages but not the components of it.

I think language is a medium of thought. The brain formulates the words, but the meaning goes beyond the brain itself so that we can understand each other.

Which leads to the senses. The five senses is an obvious and so how about other senses such as the formulation of meanings. Our interpretation of meanings can be varied but that is why we formulate our thoughts in the same way but the outcome is more often varied different then the same.
There are major differences in understanding and yet we relate to each other through the senses of thoughts.
What is it that makes one think differently from another?
