Aphorism #34 Know your strongest Point--

your pre-eminent gift; cultivate that and you will assist the rest. Every one would have excelled in something if he had known his strong point. Notice in what quality you surpass, and take charge of that. In some judgment excels, in others valour. Most do violence to their natural aptitude, and thus attain superiority in nothing. Time disillusionises us too late of what first flattered the passions.http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/ArtOfWorldlyWisdom?d=yIl2AUoC8zA (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/ArtOfWorldlyWisdom?a=9vE0s4lYSCk:nrHkRmzAGQk:yIl2A UoC8zA) http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/ArtOfWorldlyWisdom?d=qj6IDK7rITs (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/ArtOfWorldlyWisdom?a=9vE0s4lYSCk:nrHkRmzAGQk:qj6ID K7rITs)

We must act a-priori. We must use time without awareness of its passing. Hence our strongest aptitude is most likely disregarded until it is too late to apply it. It is an unavoidable dilemma for those that are resentful toward the outcome. Yet, maturity starts there, in the disillusion. And it is true that anyone has a strong point even in being handicapped. And it takes a while before being flattered makes you red in the face.
