Aphorism #23 Be Spotless:

the indispensable condition of perfection. Few live without some weak point, either physical or moral, which they pamper because they could easily cure it. The keenness of others often regrets to see a slight defect attaching itself to a whole assembly of elevated qualities, and yet a single cloud can hide the whole of the sun. There are likewise patches on our reputation which ill-will soon finds out and is continually noticing. The highest skill is to transform them into ornament. So Cæsar hid his natural defects with the laurel.http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/ArtOfWorldlyWisdom?d=yIl2AUoC8zA (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/ArtOfWorldlyWisdom?a=YcZ8Y8BZbsY:Fqg-IlGGTh4:yIl2AUoC8zA) http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/ArtOfWorldlyWisdom?d=qj6IDK7rITs (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/ArtOfWorldlyWisdom?a=YcZ8Y8BZbsY:Fqg-IlGGTh4:qj6IDK7rITs)

The problem I have accepting this one is that I don't buy that Brutus or his friends were ill-willed, while Caesar went to sleep on his ill-willed laurel. Sorry Balthasar, I know your wisdom often caused you to talk uselessly to the Catholic empire. But it is not a habit and so, I would have loved to be a fly on the wall to see where and when and what for and who was the listener. At least a fascist bishop I presume.
