The Magic Carnival March 26, 2013
This story is about an adventuress journey and unordinary events that take place at a Carnival. However; this is not an ordinary Carnival as you will see. It will
take you on a journey of unusual events and characters that have magical powers.
One day JWD calls his friend Denise and asks her if she wants to go to a Carnival. Denise replies, “Yes that she would love to go”. JWD needs to always be busy in one type of activity or another. Denise is happy to join him because her life is rather boring and she never gets out. Denise picks up JWD in her shiny new convertible Lexus. JWD is sporting a superhero tee-shirt with a Viking character on it.
They arrive at the carnival and JWD’s brown hair is in disarray from the wind and Denise’s long red hair is in worse condition! Luckily Denise has everything in her ten pound purse including a comb. JWD and Denise make themselves look presentable.
Once through the Carnival gate, JWD says to Denise, “I’m starving.” They venture to the pretzel booth. The booth has dancing pretzels on the front of it. The owner of the booth introduces himself as, the Pretzel King. While JWD and Denise are ordering their pretzels the Pretzel King says, “I am going to give you free two day pass to the Carnival.” JWD and Denise are excited, but want to know what the catch is. The Pretzel King tells them he will give them the free pass if Denise goes out with him. Denise agrees as long as he takes her to Manhattan for a play and an expensive Italian meal. However; she has her fingers crossed behind her back! As Denise and Jimmy walk through the Carnival munching on their pretzels they notice as they get to the last bite the pretzels turn to its original size!
Next JWD and Denise go to the Dart Throwing game booth. JWD purchases 10 darts for $5. Denise says, “JWD I want you to win me that beautiful blue dolphin.” JWD says, “I will try!” JWD wins the prize for Denise and she screams with excitement. Magically, each time JWD hits the bulls eye another dart is added to his existing darts. JWD wins Denise not only a dolphin but a mermaid, a butterfly, and a blue crescent moon.
JWD and Denise leave the booth and continue to walk around the carnival. They hear a clown say, “step on up and get a balloon animal.” The duo goes up to the clown and he introduces himself as Blinky. JWD wants a dog made that looks like his dog Oreo. He describes to the clown what Oreo looks like and Blinky makes the balloon animal perfect. The balloon dog can magically talk! But…JWD and Denise are the only ones that can hear him.
Denise wants a caricature of herself. JWD and Denise go to the booth where they meet the artist named Trent. Trent is an Old Italian guy with a big fat gut. He learned how to paint when he was in Italy. The caricature comes out to be a gorgeous replica of Denise. The picture is able to sing all of Denise’s favorite Pitbull songs.
JWD wants to see Giant Jake who is a famous wrestler. JWD and Denise enter the building where the wrestling matches take place. JWD asks Denise, “Do you want some cotton candy before the match?” Denise says, “Yes,” considering she has a huge sweet tooth. As Denise is waiting for JWD to come back with her treat the match begins. The ring has blue and white ropes with a white canvass that says Wrestling Carnival on it. JWD and the masked wrestler called the American Hero lock up. The American Hero’s mask is red, white and blue. Giant Jake throws the 5’5” American Hero into the corner. Denise is thinking that this is just another scripted event, but it is not predetermined like most matches! A lady with a bobby pin from the audience jumps in the ring and pokes the American Hero in the leg. The American Hero reacts by pulling the ladies hair and it totally comes off because it is a wig! The audience starts laughing hysterically because the lady is completely bald. She then retaliates and pokes the American Hero in the eye. He is counted out. Suddenly a vicious two headed dog comes out headed toward the American Hero who is laid out flat. Denise throws a pretzel into the ring hoping to distract the dog. The dog starts eating the pretzel and becomes very friendly and gentle.
The next booth visited is the one that holds the Dunking Tank. It has the power to make people young again. Fetus is an old man around 80 years old who runs this booth. JWD purchases balls to dunk Festus in the tank. Having a sharp eye he hits the target dunking Festus into the water. Instantly, Festus looks like a 19 year old young man. His grey hair has turned the auburn it used to be and his flabby skin turns into a six-pack! Denise is so amazed she wants to be dunked so she sits on the platform. JWD again hits the target and Denise is immersed in the water. All her wrinkles are gone, her eyelashes are long and thick, her nose more defined, and she is at least 20 pounds thinner. JWD is happy on how he looks, so he passes on being dunked.
Next JWD and Denise decide to go on the Tea Cup ride. A mysterious man with a skull mask, named Stanley Black Bone, is the employee in charge of the ride. JWD and Denise get on the spinning ride. JWD says to Denise, “I’m going to throw up!” She comments back, “You better not yack on me!” JWD ends up throwing up on Stanley and is very angry. He wants the two thrown out of the Carnival. JWD apologizes but Mr. Black Bone does not accept the apology. He will allow JWD and Denise to stay if they do something for him. They both ask, “What?” Stanley says, “You must go to the house of mirrors and find a magic potion hidden within it.” JWD and Denise agree because they don’t want to leave this awesome place. Before they leave on this mission they ask Mr. Black Bone, “What is in the potion that you want it so bad?” Stanley says, “It enhances intelligence and I want to be smart enough to run the whole Carnival. I want if found and brought back to me in one day!”
JWD and Denise leave the Tea Cup ride and start walking to the House of Mirrors. At the entrance of the House is a Scottish man named Shorty who wears a kilt and plays the bagpipes. Shorty sings an old Scottish song to open the doors of the House of Mirrors. JWD and Denise go into the House of Mirrors. Denise is walking down the hallway and pushes the button on the wall that opens the secret passage way. Little does she know she released a boulder when she pushed the button. The boulder is now rolling behind them. She jumps over the boulder with JWD to avoid it hitting them. It then goes into an alternate room.
The shelf that the potion is on rotates, and the wall moves. Denise is now missing. JWD doesn't know where she is. There is a big monster in the chamber where Denise has fallen. It is a two headed hydra who wants to chomp on Denise's feet. Shorty stops the monster by sucking it into one of the mirrors in the Hall of Mirrors. He uses a special amulet for this. Next, Denise tries to climb up on the shelf in the rotating room, but she slips and falls into a mud pit. Shorty goes into the mud pit after and he sings a Scottish song to help her levitate. Now Denise is all messy and muddy, to which she says, "Today has been a bad day for my hair!" She retrieves the magic potion, leaves the hall of mirrors, and gives the potion to Jake the Giant. Jake the Giant drinks the potion and now he is in charge of the whole carnival. Jake sucks Stanley Blackbone into the mirror and tells Denise and JWD they can go back to their world. Before they leave, Jake tells them they are welcome to return whenever they like, and gives them magic amulets that will enable them to do this. Denise also gets to keeps all of her souvinirs and JWD gets to keep his American Heroes mask. They go back to their normal lives and everyone lives happily ever after.

Denise also gets to keeps all of her souvinirs and JWD gets to keep his American Heroes mask. They go back to their normal lives and everyone lives happily ever after.
