Blown apart by the storms of emotion
Tossed about like a ship on the ocean
Heartbreak strikes every time it takes a notion
Welcome to my life

Fear arises like a specter every morning
Dressed all in black like a widow in mourning
Is it fact or just a grim type of warning?
Is it just life?

Had my times filled with happiness and laughter
Mixed and seasoned with shades of disaster
Living's hard then you face uncertain hereafters
Welcome to my life

Welcome to my breakdown and sorrow
Hold my hand as we race towards tomorrow
Do you have a cup of joy I could borrow?
Help me out with life?

Someday soon life may wind to an ending
Don't like the signs that my health is portending
Is it the end or just a new beginning
In some afterlife?

May I face the future, ignore things that are passing
They are only momentary, not everlasting
Worry not about storms others are forecasting
Say, it's my life!

I love the rhythm, and the form is so endearing - a really good poem, Pen!

Very genuinely nice poem. Plainly stated. A beginning to mature thought. And it is an admittance of ignorance before God; most importantly.

Nice poem, Pendragon. If I could lend you a "cup of joy", you could have it for free. Best wishes.
