Against the thrust of the moon
The wispy clouds tore down her light
To burrow against the terrified ground.

And unleash the fury of the wind
To awake the stillness
To face the terror of the evil within.

And the crypt crawled through sullen cellars
Slithering through murderous rooms,
With splotches of blood hanging on the walls
With a hang mans rope beading through the darkness.

And a shadow of something strange
A lament against the deep sill of the very far corner,
Against the dark mask of a madman
Preparing a victim with an unworldly grin.

And what here could not go mad?
Waiting to be dissected in a pitch of pain
From the depths of a demented heart,
That can know of nothing good
But fill its lust with evil.

And against the backdrop
The moon caught an act,
The henchman moving back n forth
Dragging his victims deeper still,
In the murderous crypt
That had no ending.

But death duly apart
From any love above,
That seemed distant and demure
Withholding its light,
Allowing the moon to shine on
The devious night.
