View Full Version : Whither thou be, when?

A professor walks to lectern, "Sailing over ages, the oars of happiness have been tossed left and right. Aristotle said virtue, Epicurus said pleasure, and Abraham Maslow said to actualize your potential. But how can there be a recipe for this soup? Sure ingredients will be different, but the general cooking process has steps to be followed. Realize your way has its own, integrating it into something you can impart, that's the trick."
Prof. made across stage and looked at student a couple rows back, "Dr. MLK raised a question to his congregation one morning, are you going to be an anvil or a hammer? Who is going to mold?" scanning the crowd, "Each day we are faced with options; what we wield….by intending energies, things begin to take shape. To pull the distant closer, use your lasso, foresight. When those glaring hints in your backyard dominion...do those still charge you? Where did these come from? Grasp patience."
Pulls out blade and spins it on tip, "To slay dragon, imagine what can happen."

And adjusting his drooping trousers, he added, "Mutatis mutandis, but the worm'll turn."

Interesting read. :)

not always one can be a disorganised cook but still conjurs a excellent dish. It is all about pace rather then steps.

would that be fair to slay a dragon with a blade?
Glad to hear it span on tip.

It spun on it's point because it had perfect balance. Things with perfect balance are lethal.

The blade stood on its tip in this piece to a perfect balance is a condescending metamorphosis or idea/concept .
What I mean is that the image given here is that of blade that is not longer in use and so in hindsight this might have saved the dragon from it being slated and killed. It is a an irony or an allegory of an irony.
Another example would be it is a bit like saying the blade is stood and it is no longer in use.
This reminds of men and beast in stories who seem to be in constant conflict for one chases the other. Men with swords blades and the beasts/monsters with nothing to themselves to defend themselves.
Or the swimmer hunter who goes under water with a water gun to chase the big fish to consume or use. I find this method degradingly awful.
Men selfishness towards its nature and animals is unbeatably embarrassing to a point of nausea.

Electro-convulsive therapy. Do you think the guidelines in which the treatment is administered should be scrutinised more closely?
