Rain's dense dazzle displaying
on the sidewalk, spattering
the cactus bloom a darker purple,
I hurry forward, the sun
fiercely flashing through
the gray strongholds.
Fingers of the wind carve
the clouds; and the silence plays on,
unendingly. I whisper thoughts
of pure magic into that silence
that covers the streets like skin,
thinking of nothing but what will
rise with dusk, the barbarity,
the laughing impurity, the frenzy.
You have no life parallel
to this, my dear, nothing exists
but what you speak as you walk beside me,
foolish words, inescapable truths,
all the same, all flying toward
no resolution or transcendence, like birds
flocking, filling the sky
with incredible feathers.

"fingers of the wind carve the clouds"
how gorgeous.

When it comes to this context, no resolution or transcendence. Indeed. Good piece.
