The fisherman didn't eat fish. He would have felt guilty with so much around.

It was a Passover seder, so you know there was some good ol' eggs in salt water.....yum!

I was curious about Da Vinci's thought on this when I read your post. Oddly enough, besides bread next to all of them, their plates were empty. This question probably left him at a quandary too, hahaha.

Empty? how is that. I wonder if time team can get involved and find out what the supper was composed of.
The other where the body of Jesus and his disciples? I am sure Jesus is buried somewhere but where? That one worthy mission.

Passover? what a strange day of all dates to have such a crucial meal. It is a bit having a meal during Ramadan. You would have thought they would have gone for a feasty day like shrove tuesday or a mardigras banquet.

I think the Pope had him scale it down a bit from Michaelangelo's original version:

The Roman empire wanted to honor the Jews because they stole the old Jewish books and made them their own, and then pretended a better morality out of it. But the Jews, as it befits the situation, did not buy the degrading honors, and that is the motive the Romans persecuted them until the Holocaust hapenned. It is important to realize that Herod was a Jewish king working under the supervision of the Romans during the legendary times of Jesus Superstar. The whole operation of the legendary, and I mean legendary, time was supervised by Roman soldiers.
