I haven't written a poem in a little over a year and I have tried to get back to writing a little. My aim is to write Hip Hop or Heavy Metal lyrics/verses but I think I'm a long way from doing that adeptly. I was inspired by the band 'Opeth' to write this one. Please provide comments/feedback/criticism. It is much appreciated. (P.S. See if you can catch the C.S. Lewis reference! :) )
Beelzebub the Bard
Gloves grip darkness in ranks quite chaste
and kiss the napes of sodden necks
salvation forsook screwtape in the sea of quarrel
a breast donned a vest of implosive caress
rife in spite, despite therapeutic gauze
resting in a resort to resort to a cause
that promotes billows of madness on avenues of gladness
The receptor of injections of sin every hour
Bakes a limitless serving of ‘the world is ours’.
