My lost days

Can anything offset my losses?
My disgruntled desires and shattered dreams
I had always deferred consumption
For the order of the day sealed it

Now I am enlightened, deprogrammed psychically
I am waking up to newer realities, subtler philosophy of life.
Shortened by time I cannot entomb my loss
My feeble corpus refrains from making advances.

You are there and so is the wine
I cannot rewind the wheel of events
Yet the sharing of it is relieving
Maybe I can reincarnate in witnessing
when you are consuming the fruit.

Maturity and opportunity take diverse directions
Blesses are those who can make the most of it
For once time is on its wings
All else become a narrative
