she got
white rabbits to shoot
butterfly breads to toast
caterpillars to grate
mock turtles to roast
yet get up in time
to work in the majestic palace
of the royal queen of hearts

You seem to propose that the labyrinth is secluded dream.

Octavio Paz wrote The Labyrinth of Solitude to describe the Mexican personality in the secluded dream.
G. G. Marquez wrote The General and his Labyrinth to describe the end of Bolifvar's life in Colombia. Depressed by solitude when he didn't even have the conversation with his friend Sucre (he was assasinated on his way to retirement). Bolivar in his labyrinth died at 47 from depression. Yet got up time to attend to his queen of hearts, Venezuela.

That's an inspiring observation.
