McElroy's Women and Men vs. Pynchon's Gravity's Rainbow. Which is more difficult?

I'm having a hard time conceiving a book more difficult than Gravity's Rainbow that isn't Finnegans Wake...But this mystical Women and Men I've been hearing so much about lately but that apparently doesn't exist in bookstores sounds very appealing to me.
