Hey there, everyone.

I'm always looking for an extra set of eyes on my work. And I'm willing to do the same for others if they also want an opinion.

I consider myself an amatuer writer. I'm also a blogger. I put everything I write on my blog. Not trying to make any money or anything, just doing it for the love of the game. But I've only been writing for a year so I need advice.

I consider myself, at the very least, a capable reviewer. I've read some books on storytelling:

On Writing by Stephan King, The Complete Book of Script Writing by J Michael Straczynski, and The DC Comics Guide to Writing Comics by Dennis O'Neil. I also have Orson Scott Card's, How to Write Science Fiction and Fantasy on my reading list. As a matter of fact, that's the next book I'll be reading next.

And I have been posting on forums for over a year. In that time I've obsorbed some knowledge at least. Big takeaways include showing not telling, cutting down on repitition, not wasting words, active sentences versus passive ones and cutting back on adverbs.

I don't care about genre, I don't care about length and I don't care about content. I will read anything without being offended.

I'm still learning myself but hopefully the combination of storytelling and style lessons that I've learned and continue to learn will be valuble to you. And if nothing else, you'll at least get a new perspective on your work and the rush that comes from having someone read your stuff. And I'm told my reviews are pretty thorough, red text in between the lines, opinions on the bottom ...

I hope to enter as many correspondences as possible so I can improve as a writer. I currently have about four.

I'm not very demanding, I know schedules can be hectic. I've often reviewed far more pieces for other people than they've reviewed for me but I'm fine with that as long as the reviews I get are somewhat consisitant in frequency.

So if you're interested, I'd be happy to begin such a correspondence and would love to “go first” as a show of good faith. please leave me a link here to something on this forum that you've posted. I'm hoping this forum can be a place to get a few such correspondences.
