Hello My name is Nick, I live in MA.

I help an older gentleman who breeds pigeons, he doesn't pay much as some people his age still thinks a little cash gets alot, But I don't mind I'm not really there for the money.

I was given a book titled The Pigeon by Wendell Mitchell Levi Published in 1957.

I have no interest in this book as while it still holds some useful information a lot of is it outdated, and thanks to the internet I can see all the pictures in the book thanks to google.

so I head to amazon to check, and come to find are there are NO copies from 1957 available, There are some from 1981 which are listed used for $60.00 And I was wondering if my book which is 24 years older is worth more?

Its in good condition, some light staining on the hard cover but all the pages look fantastic, no water damage.

Thanks for taking the time to read this I look forward to browsing these forums.

Short answer: It's worth whatever people are actually paying for it. In addition to Amazon, you might check what it's going for on Abebooks and eBay.

In that case, you'll probably have to bring it in person to a rare book dealer, if you live somewhere that has one.
