Advise on words using

I am not sure If it is here where I can post my question, but I will, so do not kill me =)

I am writing a short story and I am going to submit it to the contest in a literature magazine, but I'm not sure if I can use there the words like f*ck, hell, or sh*t. Can I? =) Sometimes it is really hard to avoid them

Every magazine has its own standards, so you would have to check with them directly. For that matter, it's always a good idea to read in advance any publication you want to submit writing to, so you know exactly what they're looking for.
