A Thompson has a cachet that can make or spoil your day
and a Luger is iconic in its own peculiar way;
a Colt is charismatic, Smith and Wessons are robust
but Berettas have capacity that really inspires trust.
True, Lee Enfields are accurate, and though a Mauser purrs,
when stroked and molly coddled with fresh oil, it deters,
but Kalashnikovs have registered a body count that thrills;
no other kind of weapon has chalked up so many kills.

The sing-song nature of this is just.....creepy. The voice in my head white reading this is ether a group of children, or Sesame Street characters.

Nicely done.

As much as I'm against real world gun violence and have zero desire to touch a gun, I find guilty pleasure in watching movies with high body counts. My favorite move: one shot, two kills. This good natured piece delivers just that, in diction, and humor.

My favorite lines:

True, Lee Enfields are accurate, and though a Mauser purrs,
when stroked and molly coddled with fresh oil, it deters,

CD: Thanks for reading :) It's funny how one processes the written word, isn't it. Now personally I could never associate the dry, laconic synicism of the piece with children's voices, or Sesame Street characters for that matter. No, for me it's more sort of Oscar Wildey or maybe Shaw; perhaps even Coward ;) Glad you enjoyed it anyway.

Haunted: Thanks to you too! I know, there's nothing like an extended body-count for entertainment :D Yes, it's a very feline line isn't it ;)
