Upside Down

How sideways everything seems
and it makes sense since right now
I'm standing nearly upside down
my feet planted firmly on the ground
with nothing more than blind faith
and a obstinate will to believe otherwise
because to cease to believe is to fall,
with your next step plunge right off
the edge of this Earth into the next
where snow rises and smoke falls
from northern factories
into this dream-scape of existence

How sideways everything seems,
like the suns rays on your closed eyes
I dissolve into unidentified colors.
Like the curvature of the earth evidence
of my existence becomes unfounded
at the closest examination.
