Wise men grow cold
and turn to drink
while puppets and puppeteers
prop up failed systems
modern day voodoo men
breathing life into the lifeless
Wise men grow cold
and become consumed by scorn
adding further to the failure
Though the sins of many men
are too much for one man to bear
it is worse to concede
and even worse to grow cold
Love must be the middle ground
between apathy and martyrdom
