sudden uncalled
clouds rise
and storm
ready to roam
slow rolls
of cold
gather and
scroll
scatters of
dawn prepave the lawns

snow pastel whites
terrace the lanes
rock falls and bream
fasten and leap
the winter freeze
is under siege

as the sky falls
supple and halts
chill air and brume
hudle and brood
skittles of ice
top up the highs
the world
is stacked
it's winterland
