Pure imagination being key to writing stories. However how true is imagination to a book when books or stories are more and more just another close reality with the extra effects that are not. In other words books try and copy more reality then ever because the topics and ideas chosen to write with or about are very identifiable to what we experience already.

If we take the Lord of the Flies as an example the concept of it is all real plane crash/children/disputes/bullying and killing.
In the reality of today: children bullying and killing is as rife as ever.
Werewolves concepts if for me two realities a man and a wolf involved or turned into a new level or reality. Take the elephant man we are not far out.
The question is : are books a figment of reality? If so what is this imagination we talk about?
So where is the imagination taking us?
