I think looks are very important for just about everything. Your appearance is how the world perceives you.

What guys look for in girls: it's all about the girls personality. Also her socio-economic stature is important. And, while we're being honest - leadership qualities, HUGE turn on for a guy. One last thing: If a girl makes me laugh and take me to nice places I'm hers...........................

If Tony is right then I'm doomed. I do have a ST uniform though, from the original series, maybe that will be enough.

I think appearance is important but different things attract different people. Personality is of course really important if you want something more than to be seen together.

I have been single for a while so maybe I shouldn't answer this question and just stay quiet and read.

A couple of days ago I saw a survey which claimed that the first things women looked for in a potential mate was the quality of their teeth, followed by the quality of their grammar.

Nope. I find intelligence much more interesting than looks. Sure, no one wants to date someone who looks like Gollum but as long as they're relatively clean and keep themselves that way, I don't care if they look like hell warmed over. :D

Some women have different criteria for what is attractive depending on the situation. If it's just for a meaningless fling (I know, I know, this is something we women never do), intelligence is not in the least important, What’s important is sexy and what is sexy you ask? confidence, charm and a great body. Hell, they can even be wearing plaid pants, driving a tractor and making grammatical faux pas, we will forgive them.
