Well, because you asked 3 times I suppose I will help. 2 would not have been enough, and 4 too many, but 3 postings!

When approaching a long-winded quotation like this, you must break it down into sentences and even further into clauses (everything between commas).

1: "i rather think that they may have found what i found," - this is referencing what came before it and is thereby irrelevant for your purposes.

2. "that Hardy gave them confidence to feel in their own way" - the key words here are "Hardy" (who we are talking about) and "gave them confidence" (what he does). We can take, without any context, the "them" to mean people in general. Se we know that for the rest of the quotation we are dealing with how Hardy, through is poetry presumably, gives people confidence.
