Recently i became an associate of a somewhat prominent locally (in this country) literary page. One of my stories has been published there, but the page prints all sorts of things, from original art to essays on art, to news about books and contests or new circulation of printed and electronical works.

So i sent a short essay on the last part of Guy De Maupassant's life.

The essay is titled "The dark literature of Guy de Maupassant", and subtitled "Monsieur de Maupassant va s'animaliser”, which is the last entry on the psychiatric clinic's archives on the patient de Maupassant, shortly before he died. It has the ominous meaning "Mr. De Maupassant is becoming an animal".

-Do you write essays on art, or other issues?

-Has any essay work by you been published?

-What is your view on essay creation by artists, is it a minor part of their legacy, or something else? (some famous authors left many essays behind, such as Proust or Pessoa; others left almost no work of that kind, like Kafka).
