As the title says, I bought Mo Yan's most famous work recently. I admit I have not an iota of knowledge about Chinese literature whatsoever.
That is why, my good fellow forumers, I wish to ask you something.
That something is this: Has anyone here heard of Mo Yan? Did he truly deserve the Nobel Prize which was conferred to him not too long ago? Why do you think so?
What Western writers can we relate Mo Yan to in terms of writing style and world-building?
