White whales, blossoming,
Plumes of spray
From deep-blue seas.

The great white vision,
Appearing- and then submerging-
forever on the edge of the horizon.

And tonight,
Me
Alone
With you,
In my mind,

Like white whales,
tantalizing,
from atop a lonely mast.
