All your dreams are who you are.
Dreams of sand emerging on the midnight shore,
dreams of wind outracing breath, warm breath,
of cold embracing silent seas and dusky skies,
the moon pillowing the night air with pale light,
and so acknowledging the heart of you.
You the dreamer, you the watcher,
a child on the grass, exhaling bright lies,
and with your breath consuming more.
The past is water beneath your palms, silver and complete.
The leaping of light on the surface overflows the river -
and washes it all away -
and washes away the sea -
and cleanses hand and tree.
