I adhere to the words of this book. I will never add one word to it or take one word from it.
Having said that, can anyone on this planet state factually, without err, the events of this book?
Why do I ask this?
Let me throw an example out there:

Revelation 12:14
And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle…

Okay, let’s stop right there.
I’m just asking a question, not making a statement. Could this in fact be a woman who is flown away by an airplane?
If I were alive 2000 years ago and saw an airplane, I would liken it to a great eagle also. Because airplane is not in the vocabulary.
As I objectively try to understand this book, I find descriptions of missiles, army tanks, battleships and helicopters.

Do you ever try to find the modern day equivalent to this vision?

Yes. It is the only to comprehend a human trying to fly. It is not a question that a woman grew or were given wings to fly.
The question would be this:
why did this woman want to fly?

And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle… To go shpping fast, man, to go shopping. If you read further into it, you'll discover that she also went beyond the speed of sound. ROFLMAO!!

There is your problem. You are doing what so many unfortunately do - pluck a metaphor out of its context and try to make such silly things of it. It has led to awful events in history because people believe they could pick and interpret every little passage in the book and think "Yup, this is what god wants." - alright, I'm done ranting.

Take the above passage in its context, and it makes a lot more sense:

The Woman (Mary) flees into the wilderness for protection. Someone thought "she can't outrun a dragon, we should help her." so they gave her wings. The serpent is a whole other matter unto itself.

But no.....no aeroplanes.
