at a drop of a hat
I claim a will
the freedom skill
has gone prolonged
I guess it's
soul it lacks
a role
and so I try
to call it
dull to see
if cold gives it
a pull
it won't respond
and so I let
the free is set
and will is test
neither terrain
they both collapse
under a rain
of what a shame!

OK, now you have lost me completely. I thoroughly believe Stevens's proclamation: "The poem must resist the intelligence almost completely." (Man Carrying Thing). The operative word in that is "Almost"

firefangled I thank you for your patience and your feedback. I am sorry if it is a vague incomprehensible piece although what I get from it personally is your marvellous quotes which I enjoy reading and your very interesting words.:)

It's like you collected a bunch of words from random newspaper clippings and dropped them like confetti to a sheet of sticky paper copied the result and forwarded it to this web address.

Haha I wish this was as well crafted collected and dropped. It is a whole skill of its own the one I am not worthy of.
This piece was a mere 5 minutes spur of the moment thought. Never mind. it is not perfect I am not perfect and neither are you.
