Hello, My name is Joey and this is an original piece I wrote a few years back. The title is "Forever" Hope you enjoy.

It will never go away, WILL IT.
At times I think I’m fine, but then I get hit again
Thoughts, and feelings un-submerge and I’m here
Here on the verge of going insane, the pain, forever I will feel
You are an ocean current and I’m trying to swim away
But I’ll only get so far until you pull me back in
With the soft lips, and slanted grin , you win, again
I cannot disassemble everything that we have made
But I have paid, paid my life away, my precious time, devoted
To ending what we had and forgetting all my trouble, but
You won’t let me forget, forever in your debt, I can’t escape
This place you bring me to, which I can only describe as hell
And at the sound of the bell, ring ring ring, the bell? The call
The call I always get when you’re upset and you need me, wont let me be
Until you get what you wanted, me, again to fall in love and shove the pain away
Try to put a smile on your face at the cost of mine, a line, a string
That’s forever long and never fading always wet at the tips, the blood always drips
My sanity lingering, for I try to hold it strong, but not for long
I’ll never get away, I’ll never be strong

Wanted to add one more of a different tone. This one is titled Dumbledore.

My old friend, what a marvelous man you are

For the greater good, it was always your plan

All we had to do was trust, trust in you, in your kind and witty endeavors

It was all falling in line like you said, but a complex tragedy settled
despair in our hearts

And we had doubts, oh yes we had doubts, but the clues left behind urged us to move forward,

They kept us going, we knew you, we knew your ambitions and followed them as if they were ours

After all, we wanted the same things, a passion for the good of life and to strive for the best world to live in, dear old friend I wish you could be here and have watched us succeed, oh we succeeded

you put in your trust and beliefs and we didn’t let you down, we prevailed and all went as planned

your memory will never die. In the stone tomb in which you lay, we will always remember the man who fought for the greater good

Not sure how 'Dumbledore' equates as a poem. It's chopped up prose.

The first is rather muddled and hysterical also, but it's nearer to being what poetry is supposed to be.

There are just too many repeats in Forever for it to be effective. Lose some and balance the passion factor. I agree with Hill on Dumbledore!
