Does anyone remember the characters names and the scene in War and Peace where the man returns home after the woman he loves tells him she loves him (or maybe they spend the night together?) and the world is more vivid and sharp and beautiful than he'd ever seen it before? The ordinary things on the street are like they've shining? I am trying to re-find it, but...it's been so long since I've read it. Thanks for any help you can give. I'm technologically incompetent and may not be able to find your answer on this site, so if you'd also send me a message via facebook, I'd be grateful. Thanks so much. Ellen Bass

You're competent enough to create an account and create a thread, but may not be able to read a reply in the thread you started? Sorry, but it sounds more like you'd rather have the answer sent to you rather than you having to come back to read it.
Unfortunately, I'm not on Facebook, so my help will be here should you happen to come across it. The complete text of War and Peace can be found at:

If you remember any wording or phrasing of the passage you're looking for, you can do a quick search there.

I took a speed-reading course and read war and peace in twenty minutes. It involves Russia. ~ Woody Allen

I remember this scene: Diane Keaton leaves Czarist Russia and goes to Los Angeles -( admittedly I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING ) Woody Allen follows her and California looks all new and shiny
