A Parallel Plane

Let the past
fall into the sea
and forget the future
that lies just beyond
it is of no use now
how painful is the present
detached from events
from persons and worries
from responsibilities
everything is happening at once
and I rest on a parallel plane
viewing the world like a disease
that only I have been vaccinated of
your wars and revolutions have no effect
your politicians can't reach my blood stream
this disease of society has skipped me
how silly is your cultured happiness
and let this world like the past
slip slowly into the sea
