Think i had delusions of grandeur there for a while...writer, English teacher, academic.
Turns out I wasn't as sharp as I thought I was and a very lazy.
Poetry was always difficult for me.
And authors such as Patrick White and James Joyce, made me feel I was out of my league just trying to understand their novels.
But I did love reading classics such as Great Expectations, and Dosteo's Brothers karamazov. Didn't fully appreciate some of the more important motifs there but anyway. Grand Inquisitor for instance.
I like having those classics lining my bookshelf at home. Makes me look like a really tortured artist with unrealised potential. Am I being too hard on myself?
Hope this isn't my last post.
Just noticed the ratio of views to replies on Introductions is astoundlingly high. Like about 100 to 1?
Is the whole forum like that?
