Hope it was a memorable one! :)

An interview with MorpheusSandman:

*Why are we doing this interview thing?*
I have no idea!

*Are you sure you want to do this?*
I’m bored, so sure.

Why would you want that?
I’m a masochist?

*So, how old are you?*
27

*If you had a personal theme song what would it be?*
Being a pro poker player I used to make it a habit to listen to The Game by Motorhead every day before I started: “It’s all about the game, and how you play it, it’s all about control, and if you can take it… I am the game, you don’t wanna play me, I am control, no way you can shake me…” *bangs head, pumps fist*

*Are you male or female? *
Male

*If you could build an entire planet from scratch, what would it look, sound and smell like?*
I think I’d get bored with anything that didn’t have the variety of sensory experiences that Earth has.

*If you owned the site, what would you change?*
Nothing I can think of.

*What was the inspiration for your LitNet username?*
Neil Gaiman’s Sandman

*Which countries have you visited?*
None but the one I live in (USA)

*Which languages do you speak?*
Just English.

*What is the last thing that you have done that you have been really proud of?*
Probably having the nerve to try and play poker professionally.

*If you could live somewhere different, where would it be and why?*
I’ve always felt an affinity with Japan and England.

*Do you have any pets?*
No

*What makes you happy?*
Family, friends, literature, music, film, being inspired to write poetry

*What's your favourite song for singing in the shower?*
The Moor by Opeth

*Which actor should play you in a movie based on your life?*
A young Ron Howard

Who is your favourite Beatle?
John as an artist, Paul as a person.

*How do you like your coffee? *
I don’t.

*Given the option, what animal would you choose to be?*
Any bird of prey would be cool.

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A writer.

*What's the biggest fish you've ever caught?*
I haven't caught one.

*What makes you feel great about yourself?*
Helping my family, having a good day at poker, rereading old poems and thinking to myself that they don’t completely suck.

*How did you meet your significant other?*
Hasn't happened yet.

*What was the best day of your life?*
Probably the first day I was put on medications that alleviated my chronic migraines.

*What are you naturally good at? (Skills, abilities, gifts etc.)*
I’m good at problem solving in general. I think I’m good at the kind of intuitive logic poker requires. I’d like to say I’m good at writing, but I’m too self-critical to say that.

*What is the one thing you must do before you die?*
Fall in and stay in love.

*Is there a selfless act?*
I can’t think of any act that helps someone that doesn’t at the very least make the helper feel good about doing it, so I’d say no.

*If you had to teach something, what would you teach?*
I know the most about poker, poetry, and film.

*What would you regret not fully doing, being or having in your life?*
Never meeting someone I wanted to spend my life with, never pursuing my poetry as far as my dreams, never spending real time visiting other places…

*If you were to be stuck at a particular time in your life, which one would you choose and why?*
The summer I spent at my cousin’s when I was 12.

*Do you get tired living life?*
I did when I was suffering constantly with migraines, but now every day without pain is a gift.

*Do you have a tasty recipe for life that you could share for a reasonable price? … Is it REALLY tasty?*
Probably nothing beyond the clichéd “half the guts to pursue your dreams” and “do what makes you happy and don’t worry what others think.”

*What method do you cherish above all others, as means to improving your life?*
Being aware enough to learn from experiences and learn from those that are smarter than you.

*What one thing would you NEED to have on a deserted island if you didn't have to worry over food and water? *
My iPad (library, theater, phone, etc. all in one!)

*If you were a king/queen for a day, what would you do?*
I don’t know how any rulers don’t get discouraged enough to do anything but give up.

The theme song to Revolutionary Girl Utena.

Life, the universe, and everything merely is; it’s us that makes a riddle of it.

Lately I’m reading the romantics

“So true.”

*Last person you hugged/kissed?*

Online poker. I’m happy with it insofar as it fuels all of my addictions.

*Would you rather be an educated fool or an ignorant fool?*
If you’re gonna be a fool, then there’s no reason wasting your time with education.

*What would you like to be if you could change your profession?*
If I could make a living writing I’d love that, but I doubt it would pay as well.

*How are you going to pick just one favourite painting?*
I’m not

Do you want to buy a banana?

I’m not much for painting, but I like Monet’s Water Lilies.

Bowie, yay or nay?
Yay.

*Wonderful Superman or depressing Batman?*
Batman

*Something you want to forget but you never can?*
The Bush years.

If you could relive one moment in your life whenever you wanted to, what would it be?

First kiss, probably.

What is the best thing that happened to you since your last birthday?
I finally got around to watching Revolutionary Girl Utena… awesome series.

*If you could send one thing to the Room 101, one would that be?*
Huh?

*Are you mostly happy with life or are you still in pursuit?*
I’m happy with life but I’m definitely still in pursuit as well.

Tell us something scandalous about yourself.
I’ve spent a lot of money on external hard drives to store my porn…

*How long did it take you to answer all of these questions?*
I haven’t been keeping track… 30 minutes?

*When will you pay Whifflingpin?*
Huh?

*One final word of wisdom for LitNet users?*
Life is what you make it.

*What question would you like to ask to the person to be interview after you?
What’s the geekiest thing about you?

Happy Birthday, Morpheus! Instead of saying it's belated (so sorry!) we'll just say that it's "extended" shall we? :D Hope it was a good one!
