Thanksgiving Dinner

I'm thinking of making Lasagna for Thanksgiving this year. What will you guys be having? And most improtantly if you're having the traditional Thanksgiving dinner what will be next to the Turkey: Dressing or Stuffing????

Depends on where the Gurgles end up, as in, who will have us?
It will be one of two places either at my brother in law's or at my sister's.
It's leaning towards my sister, assuming that, my brother will prepare a Turkey and my niece's boyfirend will likely prepare wild duck.
Stuffing, mashed tators, wild rice, pecan and pumpkin pie of course.

Lasgana from scratch, I'm betting, sounds great!
So what about you; stuffing or dressing?
Other sides?

I"M NOT COOKING! YEAH! In the past, we do a very traditional meal: turkey, mash potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans and garlic, stuffing, jello mold. Pie for dessert.

Love the idea of lasagna for dinner. I also am curious to see what sides you'll have.

Pepperoni pizza, loaded. Best compliment to thankfulness.
Salad with a variety of vegetables. And to fake it, pumkin and pecan pies. Diet all day long in preparation.

Haven't decided on the sides yet, and it may change if my Mom inviotes her two brothers. They tend to be on the traditional side and will probably bust up the place if they don't get turkey.

I say- still make the lasagne whichever way. Can even make it ahead of time! Uncles can be a pain in the arse.

BB, I'm sorry that you don't get to cook for Thanksgiving, but maybe next year. I've been invited to some friends for Thanksgiving. I will be taking mashed sweet potatoes...and I think I just decided on taking a Shoo Fly Pie as well.

Well, Figgy Pudding is more like a fruit cake (with just figs...and a lot of molasses). Shoo Fly is similar to Pecan Pie with a crumb topping and a lot of molasses.

I like molasses.

Either way there will be gravy flowing in glorious abundance and stuffing that melts in your mouth. Mmmmmmmmmmmm!

I'm planning to go out of town, so I'm not cooking. Although I don't mind cooking Thanksgiving dinner. It's one thing I actually do pretty well.

I'm going to my sisters, and she is going to her boyfriend's sister's house. She cooks a massive amount of food. I think she gets up at 5 to get it all done. My sister and her boyfriend (and me :D) will put together a sort of antipasto plate, full of tiny pickles and banana peppers, and other things. There's so much other food I don't think anybody hardly eats it, but it's a tradition. They're very nice people and they don't seem to argue much, which was always a tradition at out house. :D

Around the holidays at Sancho's house, every once in a while, in order to settle an argument, we like to break out the fire arms.

Okay, that only happened once...Mmm, maybe twice.
