As we progress through our daily lives our interactions with our fellow person become habitual. We walk into a common grocery store and we either say hello to the individual behind the counter or keep walking, we raise our hand in class when we think we know the answer or keep to ourselves in the corner, and we may or may not faint when giving a presentation in front of classmates. This ‘may or may not’ conception of our self-confidence begins in the early years of development. Milton Albrecht, author of “The Relationship of Literature and Society” states that it is imperative that we focus on how crucially deprived our populace is of our social knowledge. People come from a variety of different walks of life, so each individual in a sense needs different introductions on how to associate with their common man. This is where the education process seems to fail in the early learning process. If a student fails to comply with the social agenda of the other students and falls behind, their usually left behind never amounting to much in the community. Yet if they succeed with the help of teachers and mentors at a young age, learning and communication development will increase substantially and their progress for not only their lives, but the lives of others and businesses around them may flourish also. The idea of a strong faith in ones’ self begins with a simple push from another saying “You can”, and our communities need much more of that for progress. Early knowledge of social literature is a main base to who we become in our society and how our entire culture is affected by such deprivation or advancement of it.
Comments on how to improve or positive feed back would be wonderful.

This is probably true because kids are trained to associate a failure with their own total failure. And I don't see how they could possibly learn beyond that, since the community also functions with the same idea and agrees with it. But it is impossible to learn without failing many times and evolve beyond it through a good amount of knowlege.

It seems a little flat, maybe because I'm not familiar with the topic. By social literature, do you mean books on sociology or literature that deals with social issues?
I don't see how the first line is particularly relevant. I would introduce the topic straight off. What is the thesis of your dissertation by the way?

Well it's just the way my professor taught us how to introduce the topic. Start out broad and then flow into it more, finally finishing the paragraph with the thesis as the last sentence.

Well, if that's how your teacher told you to do it, fair enough, but I don't know how saying or not saying hello to someone is related to the importance of social literature in gaining self-esteem. What is social literature by the way?
Could you tell me your thesis in one sentence and then it might be easier to edit?
