Usually I love Charles Dickens; he is one of my favorite novelists (David Copperfield, Great Expectations, Bleak House, A Tale of Two Citites--AWESOME!!!). However, I did not enjoy reading Hard Times. Due to its length it should have only taken about two days to read, but I found myself taking almost two WEEKS to read it--I just couldn't get into it. I felt that it lacked development, the characters were too much of extremes (awesome or terrible), and the plot was just all around not exiting. I was surprised, I didn't think I would ever read a Dickens' book I didn't enjoy, but I finally found one.<br>(I feel kind of out of place with all of the other reviews here.)
