I don't know if this is appropriate but last year I bought The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern for a good friend of mine and she loved it. Based on this selection can you recommend other books that I may purchase for her? She also likes 'Life of Pi' Yann Martel and The Prince Of Mist by Carlos Ruiz Zafon.
